Committee to Protect Journalists Advocacy Director
Dr. Courtney Radsch is the Advocacy Director of the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ). As a journalist, author, and freedom of expression advocate, she writes and speaks frequently on the nexus of technology, journalism, and rights. She is the author of Cyberactivism and Citizen Journalism in Egypt: Digital Dissidence and Political Change. She has led advocacy missions to more than a dozen countries, U.N. bodies, and the Internet Governance Forum and has held positions with UNESCO and Freedom House. She worked as a journalist at Al-Arabiya in Dubai, the Daily Star in Lebanon, and The New York Times and is a board member of the ACOS Alliance, a term member with the Council on Foreign Relations, and a non-resident fellow with Center for Media, Data and Society at Central European University.
