Over 14 years experience working in a policy, strategy and research role within academia, government agencies, the private sector and think tanks, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Former policy advisor at the Financial Services User Group(FSUG)- European Commission. Highly involved in the wider innovation ecosystem, knowledge transfer, crowdsourcing public policy and research, innovation hubs, accelerators. Her work focuses on the intersections of Internet Governance, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Information Technology, Public Policy and the fascinating influence emerging technologies have on society.
She is Privacy Advanced and Info Sec/CIPP-E trained at Deloitte Academy and Interdisciplinary Summerschool on Privacy alumni. The later, organized by Nijmegen University, Privacy and Identity Lab, Center for Information Technology Policy of Princeton University and iMind digital research and entrepreneurship hub.
Further, involved in applied sciences, action research and teaching as senior lecturer at the Faculty of Public Management, Law and Safety at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Here, she has jointly designed and lectures at the 'Cyber Security Minor' for the Centre of Expertise Cyber Security and the Faculty of Law and IT & Design. Further, she is senior lecturer at the Ms in Cybersecurity for Faculty of Business Management at Webster University. Her sectoral specialization/areas of interest are: - Cybersec. governance, public-private partnerships, capacity building - Internet Governance, Public Policy, Digital Democracy, Privacy & Digital Identity, IoT, FoE, FoI, Net-neutrality, Internet architecture - Innovation policy, Information Technology policy and regulation, Preventative Tech, e-governance, Open Government, Bottom-up & Top-down approaches to Smart Cities - Algorithmic Governance, Regulation of Decentralized Architectures - PeTs, PbD, SbD, privacy friendly identity management, Trust frameworks Her functional specialization: -Policy analysis and consultancy -Cross-disciplinary, collaborative and action research projects - Curriculum development - Capacity building, strategic and design thinking & liasoning.
