Professor Carla L. Reyes teaches law in the areas of secured transactions and business organizations at Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. Professor Reyes’ scholarship interests include the impact of emerging technology, including decentralized ledger technology, on the implementation, adjudication and understanding of law and regulation.
 Prior to law teaching, Professor Reyes was an attorney in the Technology, Transactions and Privacy practice in the Seattle, Washington office of Perkins Coie LLP. She was a core member of the Blockchain Technology and Digital Currency and Electronic Financial Services industry groups.  Professor Reyes’ practice centered on advising clients, from start-ups to established corporations, on how to navigate the murky regulatory landscape applicable to emerging technologies and disruptive business models.
